This leash grip is dangerous because if your
dog
runs down the stairs faster than you, you can't let go
and you will fall down the stairs.
Use the smarter, safer grip shown in the next two
photos.
Step 1 of the smarter, safer leash grip is
to put the leash loop over your thumb as shown above.
Step 2 of the smarter, safer leash grip is
to close your hand. It is strong and if you have to let go in an emergency, you simply open your hand.
